[Bglug] Samba4 Active Directory Domain Controller Virtual Machine

Hi everyone,
I’ve been working on this for a while: a virtualbox virtual machine which implements a Samba4 Active Directory Domain Controller. Finally I have something which seems to work. It is a minimal debian 8 (jessie) with samba4 and kerberos. It uses the samba4 internal DNS server, so BIND is not installed. It does not server DHCP. (Microsoft claims that their servers must serve DHCP, but samba doesn’t need to.)
When I say seems to work I mean I can join the domain from a windows 7 pro machine. I can run Microsoft Remote System Administration Tool on the joined windows 7 pro machine and configure AD users on the samba server. That’s about all the testing I’ve done so far. So if you try the virtual machine and get surprising results, let me know.

This isn’t a “for dummies” version of samba4 ad dc. You still need to know what you are doing. That is to say, you should read and at least partly understand the samba wiki page.
