i don't like the new mac hardware. i don't use the special apple 
software (iphoto, itunes, etc). i don't carry an iphone.

also macbooks are very expensive. if you spend $1200 on commodity 
hardware can buy some very good stuff.

switching back to linux on commodity hardware makes sense to me.
