Here's a quickie from this issue. How many times have you forgotten to start with "sudo" when you type a system level‎ command. Add this alias to your profile:

alias doh='sudo $(history -p !-1)'

Now if you forget sudo you can just type in doh to execute the previous command as sudo. Think doh! as said by Homer simpson.
