Core Duo 8400 is about one tenth the power of the i5 in refurb PCs available for about $200 on ebay

P5KPL is a DDR2 board with 3Gbps SATA.

This machine might be useful for a hobby project but I would not deploy it as a desktop. Running chrome or firefox on it would not be a good experience.

If there is a win7pro sticker on the machine then that might be valuable. You might be able to activate win10 pro on a different PC (or VM) using that sticker. It often works although it's against M$ licensing rules.

It's a shame how fast our tech gets stale. On the other hand, that's what makes stuff like SpaceX's re-usable rockets possible.
