BGLUG May Meeting - Computer Museum
Tue, 05/06/2014 - 17:03 — Brad RInstead of our usual first-Tuesday monthly meeting, this month we will be taking a "road trip" to the Personal Computer Museum in Brantford. Saturday, May 10th, from 10 am to 4 pm (operating hours of the museum). It's also the museum's 8th annual Spring Cleanup.
If you are interested in going to the museum Saturday, please send an email to the BGLUG mailing list. If there's enough interest we can organize a carpool.

In addition to whatever project you want to show off, bring a favourite vintage computer that may have been mothballed in the basement. You can decide what “vintage” means, but must be operational.
Of course, hardware swap, magazine exchange, tech talk, etc encouraged and enjoyed by all.

Our meeting theme is seasonal. Anything seasonal. Could be Christmas, could be winter, could be perihelion. Bring your related projects, software, nerdy Christmas wish list, etc. Of course, every project and discussion is always welcome so we will talk about anything and everything tech related. And the usual exchange of festive magazines and yummy christmas hardware.

Topics to discuss include whatever you want, of course, but the suggested topic is microcontroller, Arduino, etc. Andrew will bring a box of stuff he ordered for Westhill Secondary School will talk about a project I'm working on with teachers there; also the flip dots stuff he's been researching. Brad will bring a Texas Instruments MSP430 Launchpad (the $4.30 experimenter's board). Bring your ideas, projects, tools, magazines, etc. hardware exchange, magazines, tech talk.
