Theme for this meeting is diagnostic utilities. Do you have a favourite rescue disc, software suite? Diagnosis can cover everything - hardware failure, software, malware recovery, etc. featuring but not limited to Linux and FOSS. And of course, the usual magazine exchange, technobabble and hardware trade.

Theme for the meeting will be linux boot CDs/DVDs/USB etc. Forensics, wireless cracking, games, disc recovery, desktop, etc. Bring your favourite linux bootables. Demo it and share it.

And of course we will have the usual indecipherable tech talk, sharing magazines and books and hardware trade & giveaways.

Bring your favourite snack and project to show off and eat or eat and show off depending on what your project is. There will be the usual tech talk, hardware swap and magazine exchange.

Andrew may talk about network protocols and testing, e.g., a bridging Ethernet test machine along the lines of this old project. Any other ideas about Ethernet and IP network testing would be welcome, including wireless testing.

Andrew is hoping to set up multi-player duke nukem using eduke32 and a bunch of STARS pcs.

STARS needs monitors. If you have an old CRT or two in the basement, please bring it!

The floor is open to talk about your favourite linux software, gadget or service. Andrew will demo the Patriot Box Office media player and a possible arduino project (bring your screwdrivers ...).

As usual, we will have magazines, hardware, software and lots of tech talk.

This will be a continuation of last week's build session. We are installing Edubuntu 10.10 on some donated machines for a school up north. There will of course be the usual tech talk, hardware and software exchange while we are watching the machines install Linux. Bring your own snacks.

United Way is expecting a shipment of desktop PCs so we need volunteers to install Ubuntu. Everyone is invited to talk about their latest projects. Andrew will show how to use dosbox to play old games, and may also demo a linksys router running dd-wrt firmware set up to receive OpenVPN connections. Of course, there will be the usual tech talk and free software exchange.
